channel liner glock 19

Channel Liner Glock 19 - Removing and replacing the firing pin channel on a Glock pistol can be a pain (removing it is the tricky part, putting it back in is quite simple). While it's not something most Glock owners will ever need to do if you're refurbishing a gun, it's a good idea to remove the channel when sanding and coating the slide, and when you replace it when you're done.

Modifications to firearms may cause injury or death, firearms may malfunction or become damaged, and may become unsafe.

As with most weapon related tasks, there is a tool to make this task easier. Rimfire Gunworks developed this channel liners tool to ease the removal and replacement of the firing pin channel liners. Caution, the tool destroys the channel liner, so make sure you have the correct part before attempting to remove and replace it. The inserts cost a little less than $3.

To remove the firing pin channel, a tool is screwed into the firing pin channel and the wing nut is tightened against the washer, thereby removing the channel from the lock.

When it's time to install a new needle channel, the opposite end of the tool acts as a handle and installation tool.
