Changing Sights On A Glock - If you think you need a Glock in a night situation such as home defense, self defense or just a night gun course, I would recommend a night sight.
I learned my lesson with the G17 after failing miserably during the night course. You can order a Glock with factory sights installed, but if not, here's how easy it is to install one at home without paying a gunsmith ~$50.

And if you still don't know how to do this…you might want to reconsider installing night vision, or just watch the video above.
How To Change Handgun Sights: Diy Installation With Basic Tools
Remove the nut driver and remove the front display. I like to keep the old silence back in my presence to keep it safe.
Place the new night sight facing the right direction and apply a small amount of medium strength threadlocker to the new screws.
Then hold the front door so it doesn't come out and shut up. Do not over-torque as the screw may break. Make sure the sight is straight.
Place the nylon jaws in the vise and mount the slide. I like to orient so I'm hammering down.
Multibrief: Making The Switch To A Pistol Red Dot Instantly And Effortlessly
I prefer to hammer into the base of the rear sight, but with a nylon punch, I end up tilting it so that I match the angle of the sight. It should come out easily.
Put in the new presence (oriented the right way…I do not believe I have to say this but I have seen people silent up). With the OEM version, they are down about half.
When it looks close to the middle, I remove the slide to double check. In this case, it looks like I need another hammer to make the blank edges even.
Sometimes I use a micrometer to double check but I think your eye will tell you when something isn't working. Then it's time to check the end in some or you can use the laser trainer (which is also a sweet practice tool). The MantisX Training System is great too!

When changing the sights on a Glock pistol it is important to make sure you have the right tools. We recommend that you have a Glock rear suppressor like this page or even Wheeler Armourers Pistol Sight here (especially if you have more than one Glock pistol) or MGW Universal Sight Pro and MGW Rangemaster Universal Sights. We also recommend a Real Avid 4 on Glock armor tool like this or similar to remove the front sight (you'll also need blue Locktite).
